I still remember the thrill of playing Snake on my mom’s Nokia phone as a child. Keypad games like Bounce, Snake Survival, and Racing kept me entertained for hours. As touch mobile phones took over, I graduated to playing games like Hill Climb Racing, Temple Run, Subway Surfers, and Dr. Driving. However, I eventually grew bored of these games and moved on to playing PC games like the GTA and Vcop series. One of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I had was playing on gaming consoles that came with 9999 games. I particularly loved playing team games with friends during this time. However, even after buying a PS3 and playing games like Tekken, WWE, and Ben 10, I still felt like something was missing. It wasn’t until 2018 when PUBG was introduced that I finally found what I was looking for. At first, I was hesitant to try it, but watching my brother play during a visit to my grandparents’ house convinced me to give it a shot. I loved the voice chat and squad compatibility features that made playing with friends even more fun. Although the game was later banned in India, it left a lasting impression on me. Fast forward four years to 2022, and I was in need of something refreshing after work. That’s when I discovered Call of Duty and found it even more enjoyable than PUBG. Initially playing with just one friend, we eventually formed a team and started gaming together every day. Playing these games with friends gave me the conversations and camaraderie I had been missing in my gaming experiences. The joy of playing with friends, whether it’s mobile games or console games, it’s the sense of community that makes gaming truly enjoyable.
